Verso il Convegno... 8. Perché fare grammatica in a language class?

is an article of this Maria Pia Lo Duca, who throws a clear light on why it is important to "make grammar" in school. The mental work of those who are learning a language, whether native or a second or foreign, is also made for the application of rules: reflection on language in the classroom can and should make the student aware of these rules by an active method based on discovery. In illuminating way the author shows the positive effect of the linguistic facts that consciousness has on language learning.
But it is possible and useful to systematically active grammar in the classroom? Pia Maria Lo Duca has a convincing answer, and while putting on the table some issues still unresolved, it gives valuable guidance on the method for the teacher.

What Is The Best Sailboat For One Person

Towards the Conference ... 7. Analyze the sentence with the grammar valenziale

There it is time to propose an educational reflection on language . An article by Maria Pia Lo Duca, published here, is the background, along with other important theoretical references, the model description of simple sentences and complex that we propose. Having been tested in school and developed in a number of years of teaching, the model is presented in all its phases, accompanying the reader by the hand in the transition from theory to teaching practice, through the simulation of specific moments in the classroom.
would be very interesting comments and comparisons with other good teaching practices.

Congratulations Quotes For Promotions

The national test of the state: secondary school

This year, at the end of the first cycle of education, the committee was proposed two tests, Italian and mathematics, a national character.
As regards proof of Italian seems to me interesting to know the opinions of teachers.

For example, what problems teachers have had to face teaching, in view of such evidence if they have changed the teaching of the language, if this type of test effectively assess the skills of the students, what suggestions can be given to supplement or amend; what results have been pupils of each teacher and so on.
invite all those who wish to leave their comments below.

Formal Dress Shops In Northern Ireland

Towards the Conference ... 6. The Moon and the Grammar

entered this chapter of a essay written by Paolo Bollini (Bologna, 1955-2006).

Towards the Conference ... 5. The reflection on the language from primary to upper biennium

Ri-thinking the TV: Argentine case

**
Although the set of transformations under youth consumption (for the emergence of new media), the TV is a major concern for the " Programa Escuela y Medios " of the Argentine Ministry of Education .
The Programme Director Dr Roxana Morduchowicz meeting built on quality TV Argentina (during the 2009 International Book Fair in Buenos Aires), gave the reasons why the topic is now of great interest: a) First, television is the medium most used in the Argentine case ( 95%), in which children aged between 11 and 17 spend more hours (an average of 3 hours per day), b) in comparison with the other "screens", such as mobile phones, internet and video games, the TV still wins race as the average preferred c) In addition, according to research "The
Generación Interactiva en Iberoamerica " 60% of children between 6 and Argentines viewed 9 years state and watching TV, without the presence of an adult. Of that percentage, 46% say they have television in their room.
Educating the TV thus becomes an important objective for the Ministry of Education. The "Programa Escuela y Medios" has published two guides for parents, teachers and even children, to guide and watching TV. "
Tele en familia a " and " Tele en familia 2 " present advice and recommendations to guide the boys and watching TV, but also to share the TV with the family, to know the tastes of children, talk etc.. A
Recent European research
revealed changes in the "media diet" for young people. The consumption of television, therefore, should be included within a system of multitasking behavior (Revolver, 2006). However, it is interesting to see, however, as the television in Argentina, still has much relevance in the consumption experiences of young people across the other media. In this sense, Dr.
Morduchowicz believes that the TV performs an essential social function especially for children of lower strata of society. "It entertains, teaches daily practices and so on. Children learn the telly even though it has not directly this end "To complete this
television landscape, it is important to give space to two studies that have raised the alarm about the quality of television reception in Argentina, that is, the TV accessible to everyone without charge.
The first concerns a survey conducted by '
Observatorio de la televisión of the Faculty of Communication, University Austral of Argentina, " Quality Television Argentina " which highlights three elements significant: 1) the use of profanity (92%); 2) submission of false values \u200b\u200b(such as lies - deception), stereotypes and simplification of reality (55%), 3) simulation of reality by the news, that is, the representation of information through the use of drama strategies to capture viewers (60%).
Compared to the second study,
CONFER over an image on the TV a bit 'disturbing: the high degree of violence (physical, verbal and psychological) in television (71%), particularly in times protected children. According to this research, the TV shows an act of violence every 15 minutes.
Based on this photograph of the TV in Argentina, the Ministry points out the need to rethink the TV. In this sense, offers empowering "the screen" on the content, but at the same time highlighted the 'importance of training on the one hand the teachers and parents, the other boys, the former can not forget their responsibility for what kids watch as they do on TV and its contents (La familia en tele, 2004). According
Morduchowicz necessary to educate young people so that they can understand what they watch on TV, that challenge the messages that they can choose what they want to watch with a critical eye and reflection. However, indicates that we must not forget that the TV reception should not be separated from socio-economic and family. These factors affect reading and resinification messages. In this sense, the role of the adult as mediator takes a great importanza.Per conclude, from the standpoint of the Ministry of 'Education, no one should demand that the TV "education," not even think that a TV is made only with quality documentaries or with so-called cultural transmission. Morduchowicz believes that a quality TV, in the context of Argentina, should be diversified in terms of TV broadcasting and television genres, which brings up the values \u200b\u200band models of construction, is innovative, creative, stimulating interest and sensitivity, includes several items and a plurality Representative, has a wide coverage of information, encourage national television production and has a good artistic quality .

Towards the Conference ... 4. For an 'essential language education "

This week we publish a intervention Adriano Colombo already appeared in "Teaching" (Year III No. 3, March 1997). We suspect, in fact, that teachers begin his professional career in recent years have neither seen nor known that magazine and therefore do not know the text.
Adriano Colombo directs us, from the title, to a language education is essential. The explosion
manuals and curricula (in our opinion not because of the approximate secondary achievement of the Italian school) the teacher is likely to get lost, not knowing how to distinguish the essential from the secondary or even superfluous, especially if work in isolation and not in close connection with colleagues, you want the same school of professional associations.
The question is what to delete (or change radically) in your teaching of grammar, because in the past school year did not yield the expected results?

From Wednesday 21 to Sunday, October 25, 2009 (21 pm, Sunday, October 25 at 17.30) will be staged at the headquarters of the CUT (Piazza del Drago n. 1 - 06123 Perugia) la performance
" Io Erode principessa di Giudea - Kammerspiel psiconautico "
per la regia di Roberto Ruggieri con protagonista Emanuela Filippelli .
Lo spettacolo è gratuito.

"Each man kills what he loves."

( Oscar Wilde, 'The Ballad of Reading Gaol')

It is probably true, as Wilde says that "every man kill what he loves. " Perhaps to do it - once and forever - only, and irreversibly, its.
But often, in a process that unfolds in labyrinthine meanderings of the mind, it may happen that the parties are reversed, the victim becomes victimizer. With the enjoyment and the torment, with the sadism and cruelty that dwell within. And that helps us feel terribly alive. Why
E l’amore true he does not know what to do with the moral, but it responds to the viscera, the dark, the quiet flame that pulsates.
The natural outcome of passion and murder / suicide. Why you must be dead to themselves to be born again with each other. Why is it necessary to annihilate and decay awakening to new life. So the path
psiconautico Emanuela unfolds through a generous vengeance, consumed with grief and greed. Without decadent aestheticism or empty declamations. For a trip between universal truth and fiction.

Towards the Conference ... 3. Criminal grammar

's article Adriano Colombo published here, though dated 1987 has problems of teaching grammar that are very contemporary and, perhaps, never resolved.
What are the limits of a classificatory grammar of "traditional"? As students reflect on the tongue? Commit errors or simply show analytical skills in educationally should be taken into account?
From the reflections and proposals from the field experience provided a strong impetus comes from Colombo to discuss to try to answer these questions.

What Does An English Driver's License Look Like?

dysgraphia A child is a child whose quality of writing is inadequate, no neurological or intellectual deficit.
We are dealing with a child with unintelligible handwriting, sometimes slow and with a grip of the pencil is not adequate. The same child has difficulty re-read what you wrote, you get tired easily write and to remedy the problem prefer to write in print.
The ability to use the available space for writing is usually very small: the child does not respect the margins, leaving irregular spaces between graphemes and between words, do not follow the line of writing and proceeds "up" or "down" from the staff. The pressure of the hand on the sheet is not properly regulated, it is sometimes too strong (over-voltage) and the sign handprint marked also the following pages of the book is sometimes weak and the writing is flowing (low resistance psychophysics). Muscle tone is often stiff or, conversely excessively released. There are also frequent reversals in the direction of the gesture, which show both the performance of individual graphemes and in writing self, which sometimes goes from right to left.
I due percorsi sono in genere proposti parallelamente e con gradualità attraverso esercizi–gioco che richiedono lo sviluppo il potenziamento di singole competenze e attraverso esercizi–gioco requiring the development and strengthening of more skills together, to avoid delay in the time of the conquest of grafomotorie capacity that can gratify the child, make sure that, even in school, you begin to see positive results.
The specific itinerary for writing includes activities related to:
set of graphemes and write in capital letters printed
set of graphemes and write in cursive
These activities are aimed at reducing grafomotorie difficulties that interfere in the writing and the gradual conquest of most adequate written communication skills. In the course of the recovery may be facilitating the use notebooks of those who drive is the correct setting of alphabetic signs that respect for the graphic space.
for older kids you can think of a way that helps them use tools like compensatio computer: word processors and spell-check.

Mom and Dad run out of words with little if the TV is on

If the TV is on, Mom and Dad speak, in one hour, 770 words in meno.Chi makes the cost is the small house, which has less opportunity to 'interact' with parents, listening to their voices and trying to imitate sounds. This is what emerged from two recent research indicating the impact of the television age when the children are developing their first vocabulary can slow brain development in infants and therefore the language. Not only does mom and dad tend to fall silent before the small screen, but it also seems that the child, distracted by the pictures, it tends to 'respond' in a less rapid and brilliant. OFFICES Subject: Dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulties: tools and countervailing measures dispenser. Please note the attention of

SS.LL. The following note prepared by AID - Italian Dyslexia Association and endorsed by this Office that the Regional School, on the issues in question, put be in collaboration with the said organization in order to prepare interventispecificatamente addressed to school staff.
Dyslexia is a specific learning disorder that can occur in otherwise normal children, ie without neurological handicap or disadvantage sensorialiocondizioni sociale.La reading difficulties may be more or less severe and is often accompanied by problems in the writing and / or in the calculation. The development of scientific knowledge has revealed that it is a constitutional characteristic, biologically determined and not due to psychological problems or social-culturale.Queste difficulties persist after the first phase of acquisition and manifest themselves in a difficult relationship with the written text and its decoding. It 'easy to understand how a culture like ours, so closely linked to writing, this problem affects heavily affecting the life of the school and later life professionale.Molti of these guys are not recognized as dyslexic and do not get any facilitation or adaptation of education that allows them to have equal apprendimento.Il lack of recognition has important psychological consequences, often leads to the abandonment of the school and sometimes a low-level professional future in spite of the potential of creativity and intelligence that these guys show. Also affects on personality development and undermines a social adjustment equilibrato.Anche if approved, the dyslexic children currently do not enjoy any special protection, in contrast to what happens in many European countries.
To be able to read and write must be committed to most of their abilities and their energies, it is very tiring and undertake a long time, are slow, too slow, make mistakes, and words jump righe.Altra feature is the replacement for reading and writing of letters with handwriting similep bdg q-a / or - and / ao sounds like: t / d - r / l - d / b - v / f and other unforeseeable circumstances.
Many dyslexics have difficulty - in alphabetical impararel'ordine, the days of the week, months in order .- including verbal expression of thought, have a poor vocabulary and memorize the words .- difficult to recognize the morphological characteristics of the Italian language, grammar quasisempre performance are inadequate.
Many dyslexics also have dyscalculia, or fail to: - learn the times tables to do calculations in-auto-regressive-numbers to learn the procedures of arithmetic operations.
Virtually all dyslexics have great difficulty learning foreign languages, especially written, and the main difficulty is represented by the English because of the very marked differences between writing and pronunciation of letters between the pronunciation and writing a same letter in different words.
For the above reasons School directors are encouraged to urge teachers to apply the tools and countervailing measures dispense in respect of students with specific learning disabilities (SLD reported by health services) in all stages of their schooling, including the moments of the final evaluation. Media Literacy: The ninth key competence for lifelong learning

On 16 December 2008 European Parliament in Strasbourg passed a resolution on "media literacy in the digital " describing it as "... the ability to use individual various media, to understand and evaluate on an informed basis the various aspects of media and media content and communicate in heterogeneous environments and to produce and distribute media content ... "(General, Item 8) The resolution comes as
result of previous debates, resolutions, declarations and recommendations the new context of society and communication, and new skills necessary to confront and cross-cultural roles of the media as key to understanding the world and the active and democratic participation of European citizens. In this regard, it promotes media literacy to all EU citizens by proposing that 'media literacy 1) provides information on issues related to copyright, the importance of respecting intellectual property rights, data security and respect for privacy, 2) establish an approach that involves all the media (new and classic), and 3) to be promoted by different institutions and in particular local authorities such as libraries, adult education centers, civic centers and cultural media, schools and vocational training and further media information for citizens.
In this way, media education is defined as a fundamental component of education policy aimed at developing an active and conscious behavior on the part of citizens in rights and duties.
To achieve these objectives, the provision calls on the European policy of facilitating access to information technologies primarily by reducing the Digital Divide, and between the Member States and between urban and rural areas, through the development of the "informational and communicational and putting a disposizione l’accesso alla banda larga come servizio pubblico di base.
Come già rilevato da diverse ricerche, i più giovani sono now a "liberated generation" problem that is reinforced by two very specific situations: a) the so-called bedroom culture, which promotes use primarily in solitude, from the boys, of different technological equipment in their possession; b) lack of family mediation when surfing the internet.
The rule confirms that media education should be part of formal education and, therefore, recommends that "... as much as possible oriented and practices that are associated with the economic, political, literary, social, artistic and computer and suggests that the solution lies in creating a discipline "media literacy" and an interdisciplinary approach combined with extracurricular projects ... "(General, paragraph 20).
Finally, the resolution suggests that "... in the training of teachers [...] compulsory modules are integrated in educational media in order to achieve intensive training, and calls on the competent national authorities to provide teachers [...] the use of tools audiovisual teaching to solve the problems of media education "(General, paragraph 25).
However, it is necessary, in my view, shed light on three issues that the local education community must take into account.

Digital Culture

In a recent survey conducted in seven Latin American countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela) from the University of Navarra (Spain) in collaboration with leading universities and Educared countries involved, it examined the use and exploitation that children and adolescents attributed to four types of screens: computers, mobile phones, television and video games.
One of the conclusions that you came reports that beyond the geographical, socio-economic and cultural belonging both young Latin Americans and those of developed countries share a propria cultura digitale che ha saputo oltrepassare le disuguaglianze di contesto e omologare gusti e passioni. Continuare a leggere l'articolo [...]
